Coaching Report

On the 8 April 2017 Jober Rugby Academy again took hands with the International Rugby Institute (IRI) in
presenting a coaching session at HPC at the Tuks Sports Grounds.

This was a u/20 tour group from Labos rugby club in Uruguay. There was 36 players and 3 coaches. Coach
Kudu Oberholzer took the lead and started with his standard warm up passing drills and ended with one handed
and reverse offload drill. Moving further he focused strait running lines while passing.

After a waterbreak Coach Kudu went further on working on the Ruck and Breakdown. He then explained the
breakdown, isolating the ball placement technique and building the breakdown up to include cleaning and
sealing technique. After this he worked on tackle, defencive lines and line speed for the rest of the session.

This coaching session was really a lot of fun. The boy's was extremely discipline and a joy to work with.
